Broughton Laboratories Bake Sale, raising money for the NSPCC

Broughton Laboratories hosted an NSPCC Bake Day in memory of Linda McCausland at our Laboratories. The NSPCC a leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse was close to Linda’s heart.

The team baked a variety of sweet and savoury goodies, creating a fantastic feast to sell on the day.

Linda was a wonderfully warm and kind person valued by all the team. She leaves a number of core values and above all will be greatly missed.

Lynne Hessel our Quality Director, spoke a few words in memory of Linda;

"For those of you that knew Linda, the NSPCC was a charity close to her heart, we are trying to raise as much money as possible today and tomorrow.

Thank you to Jordan and Emily for the planning and decorating – looks amazing! Linda would be proud

Linda was a wonderfully warm and kind person whose purpose in life was to make people ‘be better’ at what they did, what they said, how they worked and interacted with one another.

Through core values such as;

  • Honesty - not only to others but also to one’s self
  • Accountability - Linda presented many times about being accountable for your own actions, what you do does matter
  • Doing things to the best of your ability and stepping up
  • Above all kindness for each other

I know that you'll all contribute to make this a successful day for the NSPCC - I'd like you all to raise a glass to Linda.

To Linda. Now tuck in."

Donations totalled £208, all for a great cause, whilst remembering all that Linda contributed to the Broughton team!
