Broughton Laboratories is committed to remaining at the forefront when it comes to computerised systems and are currently running the following projects to keep up to date with current regulatory and client expectations:
Chromeleon CDS Upgrade
Chromeleon from Thermo Scientific has been renowned as the world’s leading Chromatography Data System (CDS) for the past decade. Handling data from multiple equipment vendors and also allowing full control ensures that a single software platform can be used for all chromatographic instrumentation.
Chris Allen (Managing Director) stated, “CM6.8 has been an integral part of our business for the past ten years but CM7.2 is a huge step forward in terms of technology and end user experience. Data Integrity stretches well beyond user control and audit trails and CM7.2 has enabled us to move to a fully paperless CDS with complete assurance through the data lifecycle."
Chris added, “along with the in-house expertise of our QA department, the support from Thermo Fisher has been invaluable in delivering on the development and deployment of this business-critical platform."
LabHQ LIMS
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are becoming an essential tool within any modern laboratory. As well as the significant regulatory and efficiency benefits of operating LIMS in a GMP environment, LabHQ has provided Broughton Laboratories’ clients with an unrivalled user experience in terms of web based submitting, tracking, reporting and trending of product data.
Being in the unique position of partnering with a leading software business (Broughton Software) is allowing us to push the boundaries in terms of software development. Our aim is to provide our clients with tools that allow contract testing to integrate seamlessly with their business systems.
The next release of LabHQ is currently under development to increase laboratory efficiency and further improve our clients’ ability to interact with the analytical data generated.
Paul Moran (CEO of Broughton Laboratories and Broughton Software) commented, “We rely heavily on the feedback of our clients whether they utilise LabHQ within their internal laboratory or as a client of Broughton Laboratories. The requirement to monitor laboratory capacity, efficiency and consolidate data into annual product quality review (PQR) reports on a desktop or mobile platform are key features our clients are requesting. Our commitment is to continue listening to our clients and we look forward to interacting further during the development process.”
